The Red House Nursery School is a private nursery
school for 3 to 5 year olds, situated in the quiet village
of Upton Bishop near Ross-on-Wye in South Herefordshire, England.
Adjacent to The Old Vicarage, The Red House,
established since 1997, is run by Mrs Angela Curry and caters
for up to 12 children in 5 morning sessions from 9.15am to
12.30am, Monday to Friday.
The Red House is set in 5
acres of gardens and paddocks.Nature
walks form an important part of our daily activities. They
are designed to be informative, educational and adventurous.
The nursery area itself is
separated from the main house and garden, and exists in its
own secluded and safe environment. This photo was taken just
before Christmas 1999, the two red gables near the cedar tree
form the Red House wing of the Old Vicarage.
We generally follow the Herefordshire term dates
- sometimes Herefordshire and Gloucestershire get out of sync
- there's nothing we can do about this - other than point
out to the relevant education authorities that it would be
useful if they communicated! Next term's dates are shown below.
There is no school on bank holidays.
The Summer Tea Party was held on the lawns on
July 2007. We were blessed with wonderful weather and
you can view some photos here.
